New Year’s Eve Engagement Session | Naomi + Matt

This is Naomi and Matt, they like to laugh a lot and also live in Saskatchewan so despite it being cold on the day of their New Year’s Eve engagement session at Lemoine’s Point, they were completely unphased! We strolled along the icy path through the woods and made our way down to the waterfront because, I mean, who doesn’t want to hang out on a beach during a Canadian winter day?! We had a lot of fun making portraits and chatting about all things wedding, Christmas and the unavoidable topic of covid. The real bonus, no one got a soaker and I did not drop my camera in the lake while trying to cool angles while balancing on slippery rocks. Anything. for. the. shot.

Something I like to do at the end of my sessions, after spending an hour teaching them how to pose and hold each other, is to say “ok, models’ choice!” LOL – they went rogue, this is what they chose!
