When it comes to gorgeous wedding venues in the YGK you’d be hard pressed to passover the 1-2 punch of the neighbouring Tett and Isabel Centres. Upstairs in the Tett is where Yasna and James hosted their guests for a stunning Malting Tower Wedding. Walk outside and you’re blessed with lovely Lake Ontario scenes, Kingston skyline and the breathtaking visuals of the limestone Tett Centre facade and the uber modern Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. It was super windy for this late April wedding and the day saw everything from sun, to rain, to snow. Yasna and James don’t look cold in their photos, but ohhhh, they were! Good thing they braved the weather and moreover, tolerated my “ok guys, just one more shot” which we all know means way more than just one more.
Complete with some cultural traditions throughout the day and some western wedding influence, the guests were treated to a very special celebration. I think you’ll agree as you scroll through these images that this is a fun loving couple, who are truly genuine to the bone with so much appreciation for the people around them. That and, no surprise, they were down to party as soon as the formal stuff wrapped up!
And before I sign off and let you get to scrolling through this gorgeous Malting Tower Wedding, let me shout out to the other vendors who made all of this easy for me to make look beautiful! First up, Yasna’s dress from Bridal Creations and hair/make-up by Backlash Beauty. Then the lovely florals by Kevin J. Blaney. Guys prep photos and my right hand at the ceremony, Viara. And, last but not least, party sounds from Future Vibes Entertainment. Oh, and the booze by the ever cool Alewife Bartending!
