When you host a wedding in Ottawa in November you can expect just about anything with the weather. Probably dark clouds and freezing rain. But maybe, just maybe it will snow? As you can see from the photo above, Rachel and Coit’s Courtyard Restaurant Wedding was the latter. Perfect, picturesque, movie-like snow falling lightly all afternoon! It was cold though, and cold enough that they almost passed on outdoor night shots in the Byward Market. I said, let me just go have a peek to see if it’s worth it. Ummmm, yeah it’s the most beautiful, Christmassy scene you’ve ever seen, LET’S GO!
The rest of the day was spent in the cozy indoors of the Lord Elgin Hotel and Courtyard Restaurant. Lots of laughing, lots of story telling and la pièce de résistance, Rachel dropping the F-bomb during her vows. In 160+ weddings I’ve witnessed with my camera, that was a first and it 100% garnered the biggest LOL you’ve ever heard from a wedding congregation. Well done Rachel!
Now, a few shout outs to my wedding friends who did all the amazing things to make this day flow like the signature cocktails that night: Opportunity Knocks Events | Planner, Capital Florist, TopKnot Hairstyling, Klava Z Makeup Artistry, Rubicon Photography | 2nd shooter, ButterUp Bakery, Oxygen Entertainment | DJs.
