Beautiful people in beautiful spaces is what pops to mind first when I think about Mary and Peyman’s wedding at the Isabel. And, when I say beautiful I’m referring to the unabashed love in their eyes for each other, I’m referring to the way they greeted their guests, I’m referring to their otherworldy gentle and friendly souls. They are beautiful, but they are more importantly beautiful where it counts. Then, there’s the Isabel Bader Centre Wedding space. Beautiful. I mean, floor to ceiling windows overlooking Lake Ontario and massively tall ceilings and rich wood trim which give it the warmest feeling. It’s a beautiful space and then you fill it with beautiful people, hugging, laughing, dancing, cheersing and celebrating the union of two people so genuine you can’t help but smile at the thought of their connection. Therein describes my day. Good right?!
My day started north of the city in Mary’s family home where there was more than enough space for the guys and gals to get ready separately without spoiling the first look. I bounced from room to room, capturing the laugher and anxious feelings of the day to come. Before heading off to the Isabel, Mary sauntered down the spiral staircase while Peyman [somewhat] patiently awaited his first glance of his bride to be. A touching moment indeed when they embraced and their friends/family clapped and welled up at the sight.
Now, to the Isabel! They chose to pass on the chance of inclement weather and had their ceremony inside the simple yet gorgeous room next to the main entertainment space. The walls adorned by warm wooden accents so lovely that they kept up with the stunning view of the lake. The view was great, but let’s be honest, everyone was looking at the people in front of the views. Vows, signatures and a kiss led to their exit and a great party.
