Let me tell you about a group of people with a zeal for life and possibly a bigger zeal for the party. That group of people is Trish and Tyler and every single one of the guests in attendance. They absolutely lit the roof on fire at this amazing yet down to earth Saunders Farm Wedding. Ya know, just a bunch of good people having a good time! On it’s own, Saunders Farm is a great spot to host a shindig, but then these two dressed it up and really made it their own. The decor was simple but beautiful, and most notably personalized with Trish’s Dad’s totally restored and bad ass Ford Ranger.
I’m always stoked when I get to do prep photos with BOTH the bride and the groom’s parties separately on the day of. With some careful planning I was able to go chill with the guys as they emptied the cooler in their hotel room and figured out how to fold pocket squares. With a bunch of solidly funny shots, I hit the road to document the final preps of the ladies down at the Mahogany Spa in Carleton Place. Seriously, this place is SO nice! OK, ceremony time at Saunders Farm!
It was a lovely ceremony indeed with a touching reading from Trish’s sister and a beautiful view including the floral arch and beyond, into the country fields. They followed up with an informal receiving line full of the tightest hugs and then we made our way out into the mazes and fields for some portraits with the Ford and the forest. As the sun disappeared below the horizon, we snapped some gorgeous golden hour photos and then bounced back to the reception area for the party. Fun fun fun, enjoy!
